During the reconstruction, officers used a mannequin to represent Ketan’s body. Investigators asked Sia to demonstrate the movements and positions involved in the incident. The police carefully recreated the timeline, beginning from the point where the group climbed the fort early in the morning to the exact location where the alleged push took place.
The reconstruction is considered an important step in confirming the statements collected during the investigation.
Police Believe the Murder Was Planned
According to investigators, the murder was not a sudden act of anger but a carefully planned crime.
Police claim that Sia Goyal and her alleged partner, Chetan, had been preparing for the murder for nearly two months. During the investigation, officers reportedly found evidence suggesting the duo searched YouTube and Google for methods to kill someone without raising suspicion.
Investigators believe they eventually decided that pushing Ketan from Lohagad Fort would be the easiest way to carry out the crime.
Multiple Rehearsals Before the Incident
The investigation has revealed that the accused allegedly rehearsed the murder several times before the actual incident.
Police sources claim the pair visited different locations to practice how they would push Ketan. They later selected Lohagad Fort after surveying the area multiple times.
According to the probe, the accused practiced for four to five days before the first alleged attempt on June 14. They reportedly identified the exact spot where the attack would take place and even planned the direction from which Ketan would approach.
Investigators also believe they calculated the amount of force needed to ensure the victim would fall from the cliff.
Previous Visits Helped the Accused
Police believe Sia was already familiar with Lohagad Fort because she had visited the location with her family in the past.
Investigators say these earlier visits helped her understand the terrain, pathways, and viewpoints, making it easier to plan the alleged crime.
Officials suspect this familiarity played an important role in selecting the location for the murder.
New Video Comes Under Police Scanner
As the investigation continues, a new video featuring Sia Goyal and Chetan has surfaced.
The undated video reportedly shows the two sitting together in Team India cricket jerseys while watching a cricket match. At one point, Sia is seen leaning towards Chetan, highlighting their close relationship.
Police are examining the footage as part of their investigation into the nature of their relationship and the events leading up to the murder.
Relationship Allegedly Began Through Cricket
According to the police investigation, Sia and Chetan first became acquainted through cricket circles.
Investigators say Sia’s brother, Sahil Goyal, used to play cricket with Chetan. The two later met again during a Diwali gathering hosted by a mutual friend.
Police believe their friendship gradually turned into a romantic relationship, which later became a key part of the investigation.
Family Members Questioned for Over 10 Hours
Police also questioned Sia’s parents, Pravin Goyal and Puja Goyal, along with her brother Sahil.
The questioning reportedly lasted more than 10 hours, during which investigators asked several important questions about Sia’s personal life and marriage plans.
According to police sources, the family told investigators that Sia had never informed them about being in a relationship with Chetan. They also said she had never expressed a desire to marry him.
